[edit] APSR Development Projects

Welcome to APSRWiki, the Wiki for up-to-date project-related information on APSR repository software development projects.

Through 2007, the Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories is funding a wide range of development projects that are designed to improve the interoperability of DSpace and Fedora, and to enhance the overall capacity of scholarly communications and e-research system in the Australian higher education and research sector.

This work utilizes the expertise that APSR partners have gained as part of their extensive testing and development of DSpace and Fedora and involves:

1. Repository Interoperability Framework (RIFF) projects aim to better integrate DSpace and Fez+Fedora into the scholarly communications and e-research life cycle. The RIFF projects define specific scholarly communications 'workflows' and the submission and dissemination 'services' required to integrate these workflows with DSpace and Fez+Fedora. The RIFF projects are:

2. Collections Services and Infrastructures (COSI) projects that provide value-added services for repository managers and users. The COSI initiative consists of three separate projects that will work together in a federated architecture – both between project components and within a broader structure of disparate instances. These projects consist of the following services:

3. Repository Technical Support Service to assist institutional adopters of DSpace and Fez+Fedora. DSpace Support - Fez+Fedora Support
